Capital One — Destination Venture Event
Capital One was on a mission to increase the unaided awareness of their Venture Card travel product in the Denver market. They upped their media buy, they expanded their presence in Denver’s airport and they turned to us to develop an event that would get people talking. We created Destination Venture, a pop-up event that combined interactive exhibits, celebrity guests, free food and a guy in a Sasquatch costume to demonstrate the adventure that comes with being a Venture cardholder. Plus, the whole thing was centered around a very cool dome that had a live ceiling that regularly made people’s jaws drop when they walked inside.
The event popped up 4 different times around Denver and was a smash each time. And best of all, it led to a huge jump in unaided awareness (and card signups) in the Denver area.

The Destination Venture dome in the middle of downtown Denver
Each person received a passport that showed all of the activations
Celebrity chefs (like Tom Colicchio here) provided free bites to visitors
The dome in all its glory
Incorporating a Sasquatch into an activation was definitely a pinch me accomplishment

The dome had a pro level ski simulator, which was a huge hit
Gold medal-winning ice dancers Meryl Davis and Charlie White dropped by the dome
And they even did a performance on the adjoining ice skating rink!
